Andrei Skliarenko

Andrei Skliarenko was born in Russia, where he studied at the Tchaikovsky Music College in Yekaterinburg and the Yekaterinburg State Mussorgsky Conservatory.
After graduating, he was a member of the Young Artist Program at the Bolshoi Theater. He made his debut on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater in 2017 in the opera “The Stone Guest” by Alexander Dargomyschsky. He performed in numerous chamber concerts in the Beethoven Hall of the Bolshoi Theater. In 2018 he appeared in Rossini's Stabat Mater at the Teatro Comunale di Cagli, and in 2019 he took part in the Winter International Arts Festival in Sochi. In the same year he sang Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) at the Suzhou Jinji Lake Concert Hall in China.
Andrei attended master classes by Dmitry Vdovin, Makvala Kasrashvili, David Blackburn, Michael Kraus, Benjamin Laurent, Éva Marton, John Norris, Elizabeth Vidal, Eva-Maria Wieser, Diane Zola, among others. Andrei worked with conductors such as Tugan Sohiev, Christopher Moulds, Giacomo Sagripanti, Keri-Lynn Wilson, Gianandrea Noseda.
He won the 2nd prize of the Tolyatti International Music Competition in 2014 and was a laureate of the Competition of Vocal Graduates of Russia in 2017.
He has been a member of the International Opera Studio at the Zurich Opera House since 2020/21 and was seen here in “Boris Godunow” and “Les Contes d'Hoffmann”. In the 2021/22 season he will sing the following roles at the Zurich Opera House: Ruiz, Un messo (“Il Trovatore”), Ecclitico (“Il mondo della luna”), Hirt (“Tristan und Isolde”), Liberto (“L'incoronazione di Poppea”).
