Olga Surikova

Olga Surikova — a young soprano born in 2004 in Freising (Germany) — was awarded the 1st Encouragement Prize as well as the Special Prize of the BDG Foundation at the renowned Bundeswettbewerb Gesang (Federal Singing Competition) in Berlin in November 2024. As part of the winners’ concert, she performed with the Staatskapelle Berlin at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden.

Surikova began her musical training as a pre-college student (Jungstudentin) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. In 2022 she commenced her Bachelor’s studies in voice there with Prof. Iride Martinez.

In May 2025 she made her first appearance in Haydn’s oratorio Die Schöpfung (The Creation), singing the parts of the Angel Gabriel and Eve in Munich.

In 2025 she also made her debut as “Zerlina” in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at Reaktorhalle Munich, where a year earlier she could be heard as “First Witch” in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas. In 2024 she received a scholarship from the Deutscher Bühnenverein (German Stage Association).

Already in 2023, Surikova appeared in a production of Leoš Janáček’s Das schlaue Füchslein (The Cunning Little Vixen) at the Bavarian State Opera. As part of a university project, she also took on the role of “Despina” in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, accompanied by the Orchestra of the Gärtnerplatztheater.

Her musical path began in early childhood: at the age of ten she gained her first stage experience in the children’s chorus of the Bavarian State Opera. In 2022, while still a pre-college student, she won the 2nd Prize at the “Lions Musikpreis für Gesang” in Regensburg.
